Heroes / Jazan Wild Lawsuit Complaint
Supplied by Carnival Comics:
Finally The Facts: Taken from the complaint filed three days before Heroes was canceled. NBC was first contacted on December 24th 2009 regarding our concerns in this matter.
An official press release will be forthcoming.
One of the most compelling part of this case is presented below in the sequences that occur in both stories and in the same order. Again the pictures are meant to be a supplement to the text. Then below that is the complaint in it's entirety.
Note: Nowhere does this complaint state that Jazan Wild ever suggested that he owned any carnival story but his own. That story alone... not ferris wheels,
house of mirrors or magical carnivals. But rather the below storyline, which is only found in two carnival stories. Heroes and Jazan Wild's Carnival Of Souls. Again this story was first published in 2005. Has been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times. Featured in the LA Times and was the 1st. digital comic on Blackberry's App World in April 2009 and was the number one downloaded ebook for several months. It is currently number three.
THE CHASE SEQUENCE AND MAGICAL CARNIVAL APPEARANCE
Both stories have either a Carney or Hero,
running through a remote wooded area while being chased by an angry mob, who believes the Carney or Hero has committed murder. A girl then cries out to the protagonist as he escapes into the wooded area. In both HEROES and CARNIVAL OF SOULS, it is at this point that a magical carnival appears and saves the Carney or Hero. Then, the magical carnival disappears before the angry mob can reach the collected Carney or Hero. (See Exhibit 2A, 2B, 2C and 2D.)

Both Magical Carnivals have a character with outstretched hands welcoming the protagonists into a ghost-like deserted carnival. The camera angle of both characters is substantially similar. The Heroes’ scene seems to be directly storyboarded from Carnival Of Souls.)

THE HOUSE OF MIRRORS SEQUENCE
In both HEROES and CARNIVAL OF SOULS, the protagonist enters the house of mirrors, which then encircles him. He sees his mother, who calls out his name and reveals dark secrets to him, causing him to cry out in pain. (See Exhibit 3A, 3B and 3C.)

THE HOUSE OF MIRRORS KINETIC ENERGY BLASTING FROM HANDS
A second identical scene involves the Evil Character entering the house of mirrors and blasting electricity out of his hands. (See Exhibit 4A and 4B.) These storylines are original, distinct and specific to CARNIVAL OF SOULS and were created, published and placed in the stream of commerce before HEROES.

The panel concluded with the participants talking about their favourite apps. O'Brien said Shazam, while Fisher cited an augmented reality app that overlays points of interest on the camera feed. Mico agreed,
saying he loves augmented reality as a technology. Mirabella chose Nokia's own Rihanna application, and also Carnival Comics. And that was a wrap!

Carnival Comics would like to invite everyone out to a new haunted house called Forbidden Haunt, the Unspeakable Fear. The dates for this Haunt is October 22 through October 31st.
Check the site for times and prices. There are special matinees for the younger set that aren't as scary. Carnival Comics will be giving out a select number of Funhouse Of Horrors:The House Of Horrors books and posters,
and Carnival Of Souls books while supplies last starting on Friday October 23rd.
The Forbidden Haunt is being run by our friend Cari West. Many of you may remember her from Spooky House. We're very sad to say that Bob Koritzke,
the owner of Spooky House who entertained the greater Los Angeles area for 19 years, passed away this summer. Carnival Comics was very pleased and honored to have been a part of his last Spooky House.
This give away is being dedicated to Bob who was an inspiration and good friend to many ghouls, goblins and mortals. He will be greatly missed.

Hi All,
I just wanted to write a quick note and say thank you for all of the kind words and emails. A little more about the trip. Nokia was nice enough to put us up at the Hilton Bayshore Hotel which had a great view of the Coronado Bridge. We were wined and... dined at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse where some of the guests were representatives for Paramount Pictues, Netflix, Touchnote and Pixelpipe. It was a great night of conversation and interesting people. Sharon and I were honored to be there.
I don't want to give away too much of what I said during the presentation, because press will be coming forth soon from Nokia as well as video.
But it's safe to say it was a huge, huge success.
And there is much talk about working together in the future which I am happy about.
Nokia plans to reach 300 million people shortly. This is a real revolution for the artist
and I'm proud to be part of it.

Carnival Comics Opens The Gates To Millions On iPhone and iTouch!
Celebrations and Holidays are our thing here at Carnival Comics. This Easter Day saw the release of Carnival Of Souls and Funhouse of Horrors on the iPhone and iTouch systems.

Carnival Comics, Golden Apple, and Spooky House 19 Team Up To Throw One Hell Of A Halloween Bash!
Carnival Comics in conjunction with Spooky House 19 (one of the top ten haunted houses in the U.S.) and world famous Golden Apple Comics Store, is pleased to announce a spooktacular Halloween give-away. On October 17, 18, 24, 25 and Halloween night, Carnival Comics will be giving away the recently sold out "Jazan Wild's Funhouse Of Horrors". There will be comics and posters given away each night to the first 100 unfortunate souls who enter Spooky House.
For those of you not able to attend Spooky House (chickens!), then you have another chance to get a free book by getting the really cool flyer that Golden Apple and Spooky House are handing out. Bring it back to Golden Apple on Oct. 29 and have Jazan Wild sign your book in blood from 7 to 9 p.m. at 7018 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, Ca., and on Oct. 31, Halloween night from 5 to 7 at 8967 Reseda Blvd. Northridge, Ca.
There will be an East Coast signing by the artist David Miller on Oct. 25 at Main Street Comics, 157 Dolson Ave. Middletown, N.Y. from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone who buys a Funhouse Of Horrors comic will receive a sketch from David and have their name put in a raffle for an original piece of art.
The wildly successful Funhouse of Horrors digital comic video, which was one of Spike TV's most popular videos this week, is running the second chapter starting today. We have received a lot of questions about who the narrator is. He is Jacob Witkin, the legendary voice-over professional and actor who has been in Lost, Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, Puppet Master and Star Wars Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II plus many others. We were really thrilled to have worked with him.

Young Jacob Stone, while on a family picnic, stumbles upon an old abandoned house in the woods just a week before Halloween. The wretched dwelling is being prepared to be used as a one-night only Haunted House! A strange worker, known only as Ole Scratch, sees Jacob and gives him a book with two tickets inside that change his life - or what's left of it after the ghosts are done with him! Enter... Finally The Facts: Taken from the complaint filed three days before Heroes was canceled. NBC was first contacted on December 24th 2009 regarding our concerns in this matter.
An official press release will be forthcoming.
One of the most compelling part of this case is presented below in the sequences that occur in both stories and in the same order. Again the pictures are meant to be a supplement to the text. Then below that is the complaint in it's entirety.
Note: Nowhere does this complaint state that Jazan Wild ever suggested that he owned any carnival story but his own. That story alone... not ferris wheels,
house of mirrors or magical carnivals. But rather the below storyline, which is only found in two carnival stories. Heroes and Jazan Wild's Carnival Of Souls. Again this story was first published in 2005. Has been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times. Featured in the LA Times and was the 1st. digital comic on Blackberry's App World in April 2009 and was the number one downloaded ebook for several months. It is currently number three.
THE CHASE SEQUENCE AND MAGICAL CARNIVAL APPEARANCE
Both stories have either a Carney or Hero, running through a remote wooded area while being chased by an angry mob, who believes the Carney or Hero has committed murder. A girl then cries out to the protagonist as he escapes into the wooded area. In both HEROES and CARNIVAL OF SOULS, it is at this point that a magical carnival appears and saves the Carney or Hero. Then, the magical carnival disappears before the angry mob can reach the collected Carney or Hero. (See Exhibit 2A, 2B, 2C and 2D.)

THE HOUSE OF MIRRORS SEQUENCE
In both HEROES and CARNIVAL OF SOULS, the protagonist enters the house of mirrors, which then encircles him. He sees his mother, who calls out his name and reveals dark secrets to him, causing him to cry out in pain. (See Exhibit 3A, 3B and 3C.)

These storylines are original, distinct and specific to CARNIVAL OF SOULS and were created, published and placed in the stream of commerce before HEROES.

Carnival Comics would like to invite everyone out to a new haunted house called Forbidden Haunt, the Unspeakable Fear. The dates for this Haunt is October 22 through October 31st.
Check the site for times and prices. There are special matinees for the younger set that aren't as scary. Carnival Comics will be giving out a select number of Funhouse Of Horrors:The House Of Horrors books and posters,
and Carnival Of Souls books while supplies last starting on Friday October 23rd.
The Forbidden Haunt is being run by our friend Cari West. Many of you may remember her from Spooky House. We're very sad to say that Bob Koritzke,
the owner of Spooky House who entertained the greater Los Angeles area for 19 years, passed away this summer. Carnival Comics was very pleased and honored to have been a part of his last Spooky House.
This give away is being dedicated to Bob who was an inspiration and good friend to many ghouls, goblins and mortals. He will be greatly missed.
The address for Forbidden Haunt is 27567 Fantastic Lane, Castaic, Ca. 91384. Come out for a fun night of scares and help out some causes while you're at it. A portion of the proceeds will go to Casa Pacifica and Disabled American Veterans.

Hi All,
I just wanted to write a quick note and say thank you for all of the kind words and emails. A little more about the trip. Nokia was nice enough to put us up at the Hilton Bayshore Hotel which had a great view of the Coronado Bridge. We were wined and... dined at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse where some of the guests were representatives for Paramount Pictues, Netflix, Touchnote and Pixelpipe. It was a great night of conversation and interesting people. Sharon and I were honored to be there.
I don't want to give away too much of what I said during the presentation, because press will be coming forth soon from Nokia as well as video.
But it's safe to say it was a huge, huge success.
And there is much talk about working together in the future which I am happy about.
Nokia plans to reach 300 million people shortly. This is a real revolution for the artist
and I'm proud to be part of it.

will be released on Amazon.com, iTunes, and Rhapsody exclusively featuring the single "House Of Horrors".

Carnival Comics, Golden Apple, and Spooky House 19 Team Up To Throw One Hell Of A Halloween Bash!
Carnival Comics in conjunction with Spooky House 19 (one of the top ten haunted houses in the U.S.) and world famous Golden Apple Comics Store, is pleased to announce a spooktacular Halloween give-away. On October 17, 18, 24, 25 and Halloween night, Carnival Comics will be giving away the recently sold out "Jazan Wild's Funhouse Of Horrors". There will be comics and posters given away each night to the first 100 unfortunate souls who enter Spooky House.
For those of you not able to attend Spooky House (chickens!), then you have another chance to get a free book by getting the really cool flyer that Golden Apple and Spooky House are handing out. Bring it back to Golden Apple on Oct. 29 and have Jazan Wild sign your book in blood from 7 to 9 p.m. at 7018 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, Ca., and on Oct. 31, Halloween night from 5 to 7 at 8967 Reseda Blvd. Northridge, Ca.
There will be an East Coast signing by the artist David Miller on Oct. 25 at Main Street Comics, 157 Dolson Ave. Middletown, N.Y. from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone who buys a Funhouse Of Horrors comic will receive a sketch from David and have their name put in a raffle for an original piece of art.
The wildly successful Funhouse of Horrors digital comic video, which was one of Spike TV's most popular videos this week, is running the second chapter starting today. We have received a lot of questions about who the narrator is. He is Jacob Witkin, the legendary voice-over professional and actor who has been in Lost, Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, Puppet Master and Star Wars Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II plus many others. We were really thrilled to have worked with him.

Carnival Comics would like to invite everyone out to a new haunted house called Forbidden Haunt, the Unspeakable Fear. The dates for this Haunt is October 22 through October 31st.
Check the site for times and prices. There are special matinees for the younger set that aren't as scary. Carnival Comics will be giving out a select number of Funhouse Of Horrors:The House Of Horrors books and posters,
and Carnival Of Souls books while supplies last starting on Friday October 23rd.
The Forbidden Haunt is being run by our friend Cari West. Many of you may remember her from Spooky House. We're very sad to say that Bob Koritzke,
the owner of Spooky House who entertained the greater Los Angeles area for 19 years, passed away this summer. Carnival Comics was very pleased and honored to have been a part of his last Spooky House.
This give away is being dedicated to Bob who was an inspiration and good friend to many ghouls, goblins and mortals. He will be greatly missed.

Hi All,
I just wanted to write a quick note and say thank you for all of the kind words and emails. A little more about the trip. Nokia was nice enough to put us up at the Hilton Bayshore Hotel which had a great view of the Coronado Bridge. We were wined and... dined at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse where some of the guests were representatives for Paramount Pictues, Netflix, Touchnote and Pixelpipe. It was a great night of conversation and interesting people. Sharon and I were honored to be there.
I don't want to give away too much of what I said during the presentation, because press will be coming forth soon from Nokia as well as video.
But it's safe to say it was a huge, huge success.
And there is much talk about working together in the future which I am happy about.
Nokia plans to reach 300 million people shortly. This is a real revolution for the artist
and I'm proud to be part of it.

Independent Comic Book Company, Carnival Comic was named one of four success stories by Nokia for 2009. They are thrilled and honored to be invited to speak about their success in the Ovi Store at the CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment media event in San Diego on October 8th. At this very special exclusive event, there will be journalists present by invitation only and several heads of Nokia in attendance. The event is being filmed for further promotion.

Carnival Comics in conjunction with Spooky House 19 (one of the top ten haunted houses in the U.S.) and world famous Golden Apple Comics Store, is pleased to announce a spooktacular Halloween give-away. On October 17, 18, 24, 25 and Halloween night, Carnival Comics will be giving away the recently sold out "Jazan Wild's Funhouse Of Horrors". There will be comics and posters given away each night to the first 100 unfortunate souls who enter Spooky House.
For those of you not able to attend Spooky House (chickens!), then you have another chance to get a free book by getting the really cool flyer that Golden Apple and Spooky House are handing out. Bring it back to Golden Apple on Oct. 29 and have Jazan Wild sign your book in blood from 7 to 9 p.m. at 7018 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, Ca., and on Oct. 31, Halloween night from 5 to 7 at 8967 Reseda Blvd. Northridge, Ca.
There will be an East Coast signing by the artist David Miller on Oct. 25 at Main Street Comics, 157 Dolson Ave. Middletown, N.Y. from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone who buys a Funhouse Of Horrors comic will receive a sketch from David and have their name put in a raffle for an original piece of art.
The wildly successful Funhouse of Horrors digital comic video, which was one of Spike TV's most popular videos this week, is running the second chapter starting today. We have received a lot of questions about who the narrator is. He is Jacob Witkin, the legendary voice-over professional and actor who has been in Lost, Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, Puppet Master and Star Wars Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II plus many others. We were really thrilled to have worked with him.

Carnival Comics would like to invite everyone out to a new haunted house called Forbidden Haunt, the Unspeakable Fear. The dates for this Haunt is October 22 through October 31st.
Check the site for times and prices. There are special matinees for the younger set that aren't as scary. Carnival Comics will be giving out a select number of Funhouse Of Horrors:The House Of Horrors books and posters, and Carnival Of Souls books while supplies last starting on Friday October 23rd.
The Forbidden Haunt is being run by our friend Cari West. Many of you may remember her from Spooky House. We're very sad to say that Bob Koritzke, the owner of Spooky House who entertained the greater Los Angeles area for 19 years, passed away this summer. Carnival Comics was very pleased and honored to have been a part of his last Spooky House. This give away is being dedicated to Bob who was an inspiration and good friend to many ghouls, goblins and mortals. He will be greatly missed.
The address for Forbidden Haunt is 27567 Fantastic Lane, Castaic, Ca. 91384. Come out for a fun night of scares and help out some causes while you're at it. A portion of the proceeds will go to Casa Pacifica and Disabled American Veterans.

Hi All,
I just wanted to write a quick note and say thank you for all of the kind words and emails. A little more about the trip. Nokia was nice enough to put us up at the Hilton Bayshore Hotel which had a great view of the Coronado Bridge. We were wined and... dined at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse where some of the guests were representatives for Paramount Pictues, Netflix, Touchnote and Pixelpipe. It was a great night of conversation and interesting people. Sharon and I were honored to be there.
I don't want to give away too much of what I said during the presentation, because press will be coming forth soon from Nokia as well as video. But it's safe to say it was a huge, huge success. And there is much talk about working together in the future which I am happy about. Nokia plans to reach 300 million people shortly. This is a real revolution for the artist and I'm proud to be part of it.

They are thrilled and honored to be invited to speak about their success in the Ovi Store at the CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment media event in San Diego on October 8th. At this very special exclusive event, there will be journalists present by invitation only and several heads of Nokia in attendance. The event is being filmed for further promotion.
Carnival Comics will talk about the astounding number of downloads and countries that The Atomic Dreams first chapter app has already reached. In appreciation of all that Nokia has done for Carnival Comics, we are proud to announce two exclusive titles to the Ovi Store.

But today, we are very excited about the possibilities of reaching the entire world through these new platforms of technology.

Bob Yurgatis leads the show, with amazing voice over work.
Nick Schley shines as Video Editor and Director,
while Wild's music drives the story like a runaway rollercoaster.

Carnival Comics, Golden Apple, and Spooky House 19 Team Up To Throw One Hell Of A Halloween Bash!
Carnival Comics in conjunction with Spooky House 19 (one of the top ten haunted houses in the U.S.) and world famous Golden Apple Comics Store, is pleased to announce a spooktacular Halloween give-away. On October 17, 18, 24, 25 and Halloween night, Carnival Comics will be giving away the recently sold out "Jazan Wild's Funhouse Of Horrors". There will be comics and posters given away each night to the first 100 unfortunate souls who enter Spooky House.
For those of you not able to attend Spooky House (chickens!), then you have another chance to get a free book by getting the really cool flyer that Golden Apple and Spooky House are handing out. Bring it back to Golden Apple on Oct. 29 and have Jazan Wild sign your book in blood from 7 to 9 p.m. at 7018 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, Ca., and on Oct. 31, Halloween night from 5 to 7 at 8967 Reseda Blvd. Northridge, Ca.
There will be an East Coast signing by the artist David Miller on Oct. 25 at Main Street Comics, 157 Dolson Ave. Middletown, N.Y. from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone who buys a Funhouse Of Horrors comic will receive a sketch from David and have their name put in a raffle for an original piece of art.
The wildly successful Funhouse of Horrors digital comic video, which was one of Spike TV's most popular videos this week, is running the second chapter starting today. We have received a lot of questions about who the narrator is. He is Jacob Witkin, the legendary voice-over professional and actor who has been in Lost, Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, Puppet Master and Star Wars Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II plus many others. We were really thrilled to have worked with him.

Today we will be releasing the first of four digital chapters on Myspace, YouTube, Spike TV and Comic Monsters (A Comic Site Exclusive). The chapters will be released one a week leading up to Hallows Eve. Some of Hollywood's leading voice-over professionals have lent their talent to tell this tale of Horror! Carnival Comics, Golden Apple, and Spooky House 19 Team Up To Throw One Hell Of A Halloween Bash!
Carnival Comics in conjunction with Spooky House 19 (one of the top ten haunted houses in the U.S.) and world famous Golden Apple Comics Store, is pleased to announce a spooktacular Halloween give-away. On October 17, 18, 24, 25 and Halloween night, Carnival Comics will be giving away the recently sold out "Jazan Wild's Funhouse Of Horrors". There will be comics and posters given away each night to the first 100 unfortunate souls who enter Spooky House.
For those of you not able to attend Spooky House (chickens!), then you have another chance to get a free book by getting the really cool flyer that Golden Apple and Spooky House are handing out. Bring it back to Golden Apple on Oct. 29 and have Jazan Wild sign your book in blood from 7 to 9 p.m. at 7018 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, Ca., and on Oct. 31, Halloween night from 5 to 7 at 8967 Reseda Blvd. Northridge, Ca.
There will be an East Coast signing by the artist David Miller on Oct. 25 at Main Street Comics, 157 Dolson Ave. Middletown, N.Y. from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone who buys a Funhouse Of Horrors comic will receive a sketch from David and have their name put in a raffle for an original piece of art.
The wildly successful Funhouse of Horrors digital comic video, which was one of Spike TV's most popular videos this week, is running the second chapter starting today. We have received a lot of questions about who the narrator is. He is Jacob Witkin, the legendary voice-over professional and actor who has been in Lost, Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, Puppet Master and Star Wars Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II plus many others. We were really thrilled to have worked with him.
For those of you who missed the first one, you can catch up and see the first video as well at the sites running them. They're a ghoulishly good time!

Carnival Comics is very proud to announce that Jazan Wild's Funhouse Of Horrors has Sold Out of the inital shipment to Diamond! We are now trying hard to fill reorders before Halloween arrives. We have three big promotional events in Los Angeles to be announced soon! These events have already secured most of the Funhouse Of Horrors original print run. But we will print as many books as there are souls to read them!!!!!!
After all we are Carnival Comics and the show must go on!

Today we will be releasing the first of four digital chapters on Myspace, YouTube, Spike TV and Comic Monsters (A Comic Site Exclusive). The chapters will be released one a week leading up to Hallows Eve. Some of Hollywood's leading voice-over professionals have lent their talent to tell this tale of Horror! Jazan Wild provides hard rocking music on this scary journey to the House Of Horrors! Trick or Treat to everyone! Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chapter One:
Young Jacob Stone, while on a family picnic, stumbles upon an old abandoned house in the woods just a week before Halloween. The wretched dwelling is being prepared to be used as a one-night only Haunted House! A strange worker, known only as Ole Scratch, sees Jacob and gives him a book with two tickets inside that change his life - or what's left of it after the ghosts are done with him! Enter... Jazan Wild's House Of Horrors!

Carnival Comics is very proud to announce that Jazan Wild's Funhouse Of Horrors has Sold Out of the inital shipment to Diamond! We are now trying hard to fill reorders before Halloween arrives. We have three big promotional events in Los Angeles to be announced soon! These events have already secured most of the Funhouse Of Horrors original print run. But we will print as many books as there are souls to read them!!!!!!
After all we are Carnival Comics and the show must go on!

Carnival Comics opens the Funhouse Of Horrors doors to the public!
Today we will be releasing the first of four digital chapters on Myspace, YouTube, Spike TV and Comic Monsters (A Comic Site Exclusive). The chapters will be released one a week leading up to Hallows Eve. Some of Hollywood's leading voice-over professionals have lent their talent to tell this tale of Horror! Jazan Wild provides hard rocking music on this scary journey to the House Of Horrors! Trick or Treat to everyone! Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chapter One:
Young Jacob Stone, while on a family picnic, stumbles upon an old abandoned house in the woods just a week before Halloween. The wretched dwelling is being prepared to be used as a one-night only Haunted House! A strange worker, known only as Ole Scratch, sees Jacob and gives him a book with two tickets inside that change his life - or what's left of it after the ghosts are done with him! Enter... Jazan Wild's House Of Horrors!
